Departure from your hotel at 8am to go to Porto Ceasa, where you can see the Amazonian freshwater fish market. Then we will continue on our boat to the famous ‘Meeting of the Waters’ where the Rio Negro and the Solimões meet to form the Amazon River, where you will have the opportunity to take photos and hear an explanation of the phenomenon.
We continue upriver to the Janauary Ecological Park, where we will take a walkway through the jungle to see the famous giant water lilies, take photos and hear about the ecology, We will see one of the largest trees in the rainforest before returning to the boat for lunch, After lunch we will go fishing piranas and then we will return to the boat to go up river to the village of Cachoeiro do Castanha, where we will spend the night.
On the way up the river you will enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner. After dinner we will head out for an evening canoe trip to explore the area and observe nocturnal wildlife. Perhaps a snake or other animal – whatever the nature has in store for us. We will return to spend the night on the boat
At 5:30 am the boat will begin ascending the river to Jaraqui, one of the tributaries of the Rio Negro. On the way, you will have the great opportunity to witness a spectacular sunrise, have breakfast and then take a walk in the jungle for around 3 to 4 hours with explanations about medicinal plants, survival techniques and fauna and flora.
We will return to the boat and begins going up the river to the Anavilhanas Archipelago, having lunch along the way, we will go along the island to explore by motorized canoe. We can see monkeys, macaws, toucans and parrots too. We will return for dinner and, in the evening, we will spot alligators before returning to spend the night on the boat.
Before breakfast, we will explore to see more macaws and toucans. After breakfast, we will canoe around the island to observe the wildlife and then return for lunch. After lunch, we will go down the river to Acajatuba Lagoon, where you will swim with the pink dolphins, then return to the boat for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we will visit one of the Amazon tributaries by motorized canoe to spot wildlife; monkeys, birds and sloths. We return to the boat for lunch and then go down the river to the Tatuzinho village where you will have the opportunity to see members of the Barrasana tribe performing rituals for around 40 minutes and you will be able to dance with them. then we will return to the boat and begin our return to Manaus to arrive around 5pm.
